Stone(s): Jura limestone - beige

Born in the prehistoric sea, elegant Jura limestone is a monument to our evolutionary history. The curved shape and the playful heart give the Urn Headstone Model Oakland a sense of tenderness and lightness.

When the primordial sea receded in the Bavarian Altmühl Valley about 180 million years ago and the animals and plants of the marine world slowly sank to the bottom, Jura limestone was formed. It enclosed the once-living creatures of our prehistoric past as fossils, making it a unique witness to our history to this day.

The refined and warm effect of Jura limestone is particularly well showcased in the Urn Headstone Model Oakland. Tender yet enduring, a heart emerges from the stone and is protectively enclosed by it.

Due to its noble appearance, Jura limestone was already a popular building material in Roman times and can be found in numerous medieval structures. Jura limestone has a high density, but as a soft sedimentary rock, it is excellent for surface finishing.

Care instructions: Jura limestone is easy to care for, as it weathers or turns green very slowly. To further delay this process, we also seal our stones. Thanks to our proven sealing system, this Urn Headstone Model Oakland is even less susceptible to the elements and is also water and dirt-repellent.
