Stone(s): Jura limestone - beige

Born in the prehistoric sea, elegant Jura limestone is a monument to our evolutionary history. Its radiant color and noble appearance lend the Urn Headstone Model Leipzig tranquility and lightness.

When the primordial sea in the Bavarian Altmühltal receded about 180 million years ago and the animals and plants of the marine world slowly sank to the bottom, Jura limestone was formed. It enclosed the once-living creatures of our prehistoric past as fossils, making it a unique witness to our history to this day.

The noble and modern effect of the Jura limestone is particularly well brought out in the Urn Headstone Model Leipzig. The restrained form underscores the radiant luminosity of the stone, while a delicate cross proclaims quiet yet hopeful confidence.

Due to its noble appearance, Jura limestone was already popular as a building material in Roman times and can also be found in numerous structures from the Middle Ages. Jura limestone has a high density, but as a soft sedimentary rock, it is excellently suited for surface detailing.

Care instructions: Jura limestone is easy to care for, as it weathers or turns green very slowly. To further delay this process, we additionally seal our stones. Thanks to our proven sealing system, this Urn Headstone Model Leipzig is even less susceptible to weathering and is also water and dirt-repellent.
