Jura limestone was formed around 180 million years ago when the primeval sea receded in the Bavarian Altmühl valley and the animals and plants of the marine world slowly sank to the bottom. It enclosed the prehistoric creatures as fossils, making it a unique witness to our past to this day.

Jura limestone was a popular building material as early as Roman times and can also be found in numerous medieval structures. It has a high density, but as a soft sedimentary rock, it is excellently suited for surface design.

Care instructions: Jura limestone is easy to care for, as it weathers or develops a green patina only very slowly. To delay this process even further, we additionally seal our stones. Thanks to our proven sealing system, the Osaka model headstone pillow is even less susceptible to the elements and is also water and dirt-repellent.

The price includes the headstone and the individual inscription. After completing your order, you will book a personal appointment with our staff, during which all details will be coordinated. The inscription will be arranged according to your wishes in consultation with our specialist staff and then hand-engraved into the stone by our stonemasons.

A headstone is an individually designed product made with the help of manual craftsmanship. We manufacture the stone of your choice in compliance with the applicable cemetery regulations so that it is eligible for approval and can be installed.
