Stone(s): Jura limestone

The Model Nice pillow rests gently on the ground. Its subtle surface finish radiates grace and lightness.

The Model Nice pillow is crafted from exquisite Jura limestone, which gives it its luminous radiance and refined appearance. Jura limestone was formed when the primordial sea in the Bavarian Altmühltal region receded around 180 million years ago, and marine animals and plants slowly sank to the bottom. The stone enclosed the ancient creatures of our prehistoric past as fossils, serving as a unique witness to our history to this day.

Jura limestone was already a popular building material in Roman times and can be found in numerous medieval structures. It has high density, yet as a soft sedimentary rock, it is exceptionally well-suited for surface design.

Care instructions: Jura limestone is easy to care for, as it weathers or becomes green very slowly. To further delay this process, we also seal our stones. Thanks to our proven sealing system, the Model Nice pillow is even less susceptible to weathering and is also water and dirt-repellent.
