Stone(s): Jura limestone - beige

Born in the primeval sea, the elegant Jura limestone is a monument to our evolutionary history. Its radiant color and refined appearance lend the Model Heidelberg single headstone a sense of tranquility and lightness.

When the primeval sea retreated from the Bavarian Altmühltal region around 180 million years ago and the marine animals and plants slowly sank to the bottom, Jura limestone was formed. It encased the ancient creatures of our prehistoric times as fossils, making it a unique witness to our past to this day.

In the Model Heidelberg single headstone, the refined and modern effect of the Jura limestone is brought out to its best advantage. The elegant surface finish highlights the stone's brilliant luminosity.

Due to its refined appearance, Jura limestone was already popular as a building material in Roman times and can also be found in numerous structures from the Middle Ages. Jura limestone has a high density, but as a soft sedimentary rock, it is excellently suited for surface design.

Care instructions: Jura limestone is easy to care for, as it weathers or becomes green very slowly. To further delay this process, we also seal our stones. Thanks to our proven sealing system, this Model Heidelberg single headstone is even less susceptible to weathering and is also water and dirt repellent.
