Stone(s): Jura limestone - beige

Born in the prehistoric sea, elegant Jura limestone is a monument to our origins.

Jura limestone was formed when the primeval sea in the Bavarian Altmühl Valley receded around 180 million years ago and the animals and plants of the marine world slowly sank to the bottom. It enclosed the ancient creatures of our prehistoric past as fossils, making it a unique witness to our history to this day. Its proudly soaring shape gives the single headstone Model Bamberg a sublime lightness.

Due to its refined appearance, Jura limestone was already a popular building material in Roman times and can also be found in numerous structures from the Middle Ages. Jura limestone has a high density, but as a soft sedimentary rock, it is excellently suited for surface finishing.

Care instructions: Jura limestone is easy to care for, as it weathers or greens only very slowly. To delay this process even further, we also seal our stones. Thanks to our proven sealing system, this single headstone Model Bamberg is even less susceptible to weathering and is also water and dirt repellent.
