Stone(s): Basalt and Jura limestone

Elegant Jura limestone and powerful basalt convey calm and balance in turbulent times.

The delicacy of the Jura limestone combines with the strength of the basalt to form a harmonious unit. In the contrast between light and dark, between softness and hardness, the pair radiates calm, strength, and confidence. Timelessly elegant, the double headstone Model Würzburg conveys peace and stability even in stormy times and reconciles every conflict of life.

Once ejected to the earth's surface by volcanoes as liquid magma, basalt hardened into one of the most resilient stones. Formerly also called black marble, basalt is characterized by its subtle and classic coloring in dark gray and black tones. Its fine-pored structure gives it an elegant and modern appearance.
Opposed to it is the light-colored Jura limestone. It was formed when the primeval sea receded and the animals and plants of the marine world slowly sank to the bottom. It enclosed the prehistoric creatures as fossils, giving it a lively and unique structure. The light base tone gives the stone a noble and warm appearance.
