Stone(s): Basalt and grey granite

Brightly shining granite and dark basalt find perfect harmony in their contrast.

Granite and basalt are among the most resilient and durable rocks. One shines with a bright luster, while the other rests powerfully in noble black. Delicate and unshakable at the same time, they meet in the double headstone Model Lyon, providing mutual support in their strength. Yet, in their contrast, the harmony of opposites shines through, which permeates all of life. Night is followed by day, the storm is followed by sunshine, and dark grief is brightened by loving memories. Only in this interplay does life reach its completion, giving us the comforting certainty that suffering is always followed by redemption.

Once ejected from volcanoes as liquid magma onto the earth's surface, basalt hardened into one of the most robust rocks. Formerly also called black marble, basalt is characterized by its subtle and classic coloring in dark grey and black tones. Its fine-pored structure gives it an elegant and modern look.
Opposite it stands the light granite. It was formed deep within the earth into an especially hard rock. Dark grey speckles and a lively surface structure give the granite its special character and make every piece unique.

Care instructions: Diorite and granite are frost-resistant and easy to care for. Thanks to our proven sealing system, this double headstone Model Lyon is even less susceptible to weathering and is also water- and dirt-repellent.
